The team.
At The Oak Frame Carpentry Company, all our carpenters undergo extensive in-house training in traditional scribe carpentry. This involves mastering the use of hand tools and the principles of traditional oak frame construction, including a wide range of joints and architectural forms. Our toolkits are equipped with specialist tools that have remained unchanged for centuries. While we integrate modern power tools for efficiency, much of our work is still meticulously finished using traditional techniques.
In an industry known for its high turnover, we take pride in retaining skilled carpenters for extended periods. More than half of our workforce has been with us for over 15 years, contributing significantly to our success.
We were pioneers in achieving qualifications in the oak framing NVQ “Structural Post & Beam Carpentry,” helping set a benchmark in the industry. As proud members and supporters of the Carpenters’ Fellowship, we actively promote high standards and extend this opportunity to all our workforce, ensuring continuous professional development.

Anthony has spent considerable time in both the workshop and design office, studying the intricacies of the craft. With a background in Structural Engineering and a passion for carpentry, Anthony discovered the perfect match in The Oak Frame Carpentry Company many years ago and hasn’t looked back since.
Shane Waldron
Operations Director
Shane has over a decade of experience in the carpentry industry. Extensive expertise in first fix (roofing, joists and stud work), second fix (flooring, kitchens and doors) and site supervision. Since joining the company, Shane has contributed a wealth of knowledge and skills, helping to expand our offerings into a more comprehensive range of services.
